Volunteer Befrienders wanted for Adavu

Slavery and Exploitation still take place in towns, cities and rural communities in the West Midlands. Men, women and children can be trafficked for sexual exploitation, forced labour, domestic servitude, and other forms of slavery.

Adavu is a Birmingham based project, which offers long term support to adult survivors of modern slavery who are making the transition into life in a local community.

Vacancy for a Hospitality & Outreach Worker

Emmanuel URC/Methodist Church Redditch, a busy Town Centre Church, is seeking a Hospitality & Outreach worker to join our team in leading the church in fulfilling and developing our commitment to invite and welcome all to, and include all in, the life of the Church and Centre; and reach out in witness and service to the Town Centre community and beyond. The nature of the role requires the successful applicant to be a committed Christian.

Start date on or after 1st September 2018

Hours: Flexible over five days with some evenings and weekend work

Salary for 25 hrs week £13,000 - £15,600

Financial worries can often lead to isolation, desperation and a lack of hope.
