Volunteer Befrienders wanted for Adavu

Slavery and Exploitation still take place in towns, cities and rural communities in the West Midlands. Men, women and children can be trafficked for sexual exploitation, forced labour, domestic servitude, and other forms of slavery.

Adavu is a Birmingham based project, which offers long term support to adult survivors of modern slavery who are making the transition into life in a local community.

Vacancy - Part-time Lecturer – Theology & Counselling

Birmingham Christian College (BCC) is looking for a part-time lecturer in Theology & Counselling.

BCC is a training institution for Christian Ministry and Mission where men and women are modelled to become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ in the church, society, and the marketplace. Situated on the Selly Oak Campus of Birmingham University, BCC has former students serving all over the world.

With roots in the Evangelical and Pentecostal/Charismatic movements, it welcomes students from all church, ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds. BCC has a missional approach to all aspects of Christian service and is investing a great deal of resources to train non-Western missionaries in Europe to partner with local churches to reach out to both the local and various diaspora communities.

Vacancy - Care Centre Manager - Full Time Position

Birmingham City Mission are looking to recruit a Care Centre Manager to run our Care Centre for the homeless project based in the city centre.

The full-time Manager will lead and grow BCM’s services to the homeless of Birmingham. Our Care Centre has been developed by our previous Manager into a recognised place where those in need find food, friendship, acceptance and advice. The Unique Selling Point of our work is our commitment to share the gospel in a respectful manner to all those who choose to listen.

The successful candidate will be a practising Christian in sympathy with BCM’s Basis of Faith.
