Volunteer Befrienders wanted for Adavu

Slavery and Exploitation still take place in towns, cities and rural communities in the West Midlands. Men, women and children can be trafficked for sexual exploitation, forced labour, domestic servitude, and other forms of slavery.

Adavu is a Birmingham based project, which offers long term support to adult survivors of modern slavery who are making the transition into life in a local community.

Vacancy - Project Manager Role - Diocese of Birmingham

We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join our newly formed Project Management Office (PMO). They will work with project leads to manage a number of projects to make sure they are well planned, financially robust and that they have everything in place to make the desired impact. The Project Manager will also work with Programme Managers, and other key staff, to ensure projects reports feed into wider Governance structures and deliver on funder requirements.

This is a new opportunity for someone who loves supporting teams in running projects efficiently and effectively to maximise their impact. Together we will see churches growing at the heart of communities making a real impact on the communities they serve.

Vacancy - Receptionist (2 vacancies)

The Professional Services Team within our College is seeking experienced receptionists to be the
friendly face of Queen’s to all students, staff and visitors.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong customer ethos and be experienced in delivering within a
complex and varied receptionist role. They will be highly organised, be proactive and have a flexible,
‘can do’ attitude.

Great communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as is the ability to work with speed,
accuracy and diplomacy whilst prioritising tasks.

Excellent IT skills in Office 365 are essential, including managing and manipulating data and reports.

Experience in using booking software would be advantageous, however we are happy to provide
training.

Vacancy - Registry Administrator (Temporary – Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible person to support the work of Registry by enrolling
new students, creating, and maintaining student records, administering assessment submissions and
marking processes, and assisting the Registry Manger in ensuring that data supporting regulatory
returns is accurately entered to the database.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a good standard and have worked in a higher education
setting. The postholder will be experienced in using a Virtual Learning Environment to administer
assessments (preferably Moodle and Turnitin), and in using a database to administer student
records.

Vacancies - 5 New Children and Families Mission Enablers

We are seeking 5 Mission Enablers to catalyse mission to children and families across the deaneries of the diocese of Birmingham. Church of England Birmingham covers an area that is young, culturally diverse, creative, dynamic and constantly changing. Each Enabler will be rooted in one of our deaneries and hosted by a local parish. The shape of the roles is informed by the local context and vision with focuses including ministry through sports, schools, the natural environment, community building and more.

You will be a motivated, creative, out-of-the-box thinker able to recruit, train, equip and support volunteers in parishes and deaneries. Leading collaboratively and with inspiration you will be part of launching new activities and local intergenerational worshipping communities We have a wide variety of contexts and churches to work with who long to connect with new people.
