Volunteer Befrienders wanted for Adavu
Slavery and Exploitation still take place in towns, cities and rural communities in the West Midlands. Men, women and children can be trafficked for sexual exploitation, forced labour, domestic servitude, and other forms of slavery.
Adavu is a Birmingham based project, which offers long term support to adult survivors of modern slavery who are making the transition into life in a local community.
Vacancies for Children Workers at Birmingham City Mission
There are two opportunities for children’s workers with a passion for outreach to join an existing team serving Birmingham children aged 5 -11 years.
One post is available Summer term 2020, closing date 28th February 2020; the second post is available Autumn term 2020, closing date 26th June 2020. Applications for part time hours will be considered in line with details given in the application pack.
Vacancy - Part time Administrator and Clerk to Trustees
St Peter’s Saltley Trust (www.saltleytrust.org.uk), an ecumenical Christian educational charity working in the West Midlands region, is seeking a part-time Administrator and Clerk to Trustees (9 hrs p.w., to be worked flexibly by agreement) to provide financial, administrative and office management support to the Trust’s work. The role involves assisting the Director and Trustees in the preparation of annual budgets, monitoring income and expenditure in line with budgets, administrating the Trust’s small grants fund and providing administrative support to the Director and Trustees. There is scope for suitably skilled applicants to become involved in other areas of the Trust’s work, including publicity and communications.
Vacancy - Birmingham Churches Together Enabling Officer
Birmingham Churches Together is seeking to recruit an Enabling Officer to work with churches and Christian organisations to promote and develop Christian unity and mission.
The successful candidate will be a skilled networker and facilitator able to work with senior church leaders but equally happy collaborating with small local groups. The post also requires day to day management of the charity and management and oversight of BCT’s communication to its networks across Birmingham and Solihull.
