Volunteer Befrienders wanted for Adavu

Slavery and Exploitation still take place in towns, cities and rural communities in the West Midlands. Men, women and children can be trafficked for sexual exploitation, forced labour, domestic servitude, and other forms of slavery.

Adavu is a Birmingham based project, which offers long term support to adult survivors of modern slavery who are making the transition into life in a local community.

Vacancy - Outreach Liaison Worker

The staff team is made up of a full-time Project Manager, a full time Caseworker, two part time overnight workers, this role and a part-time volunteer coordinator supporting over 80 regular volunteers.

You will engage directly with individual’s experiencing homelessness and partner organisations to enable individuals to benefit from the services provided by Tabor House and Tabor living . As a result of this engagement you will be able to work with individual’s to move into Tabor House or support them to take up other appropriate services. You will have to understand each individual’s current situation and undertake strength based assessments of options on a case by case basis. Therefore, experience of working in a community engagement role of undertaking field research (preferably in Birmingham) is essential. You will also be one of the designated staff members on call for volunteers.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experience and enthusiastic Spiritual Care Lead to join the Family Support Team at Marie Curie Hospice, West Midlands. This is a varied and exciting role and will include:

Providing spiritual support for patients, carers and staff both in the hospice and the community.
Training for staff and volunteers in spiritual care.
The recruitment and management of a team of volunteers.
The development of partnership working with multi faith groups in the local community.

Vacancy - Project Manager Role - Diocese of Birmingham

We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join our newly formed Project Management Office (PMO). They will work with project leads to manage a number of projects to make sure they are well planned, financially robust and that they have everything in place to make the desired impact. The Project Manager will also work with Programme Managers, and other key staff, to ensure projects reports feed into wider Governance structures and deliver on funder requirements.

Vacancy - Receptionist (2 vacancies)

The Professional Services Team within our College is seeking experienced receptionists to be the
friendly face of Queen’s to all students, staff and visitors.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong customer ethos and be experienced in delivering within a
complex and varied receptionist role. They will be highly organised, be proactive and have a flexible,
‘can do’ attitude.

Great communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as is the ability to work with speed,
accuracy and diplomacy whilst prioritising tasks.

Excellent IT skills in Office 365 are essential, including managing and manipulating data and reports.

Experience in using booking software would be advantageous, however we are happy to provide
training.

Vacancy - Registry Administrator (Temporary – Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible person to support the work of Registry by enrolling
new students, creating, and maintaining student records, administering assessment submissions and
marking processes, and assisting the Registry Manger in ensuring that data supporting regulatory
returns is accurately entered to the database.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a good standard and have worked in a higher education
setting. The postholder will be experienced in using a Virtual Learning Environment to administer
assessments (preferably Moodle and Turnitin), and in using a database to administer student
records.
