We have seen headlines such as 'Christianity now minority religion in England and Wales' suggesting people are surprised. Yes, we know that church attendance, and the numbers of Christian funerals and weddings have all fallen over the past few decades, but I wonder if the results say something more significant.

Goodbyes In Sparkhill
August has been a poignant month for Rev Sue Shortman and the congregation of Sparkhill Methodist Church. On the 14th of August there was a Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration to mark the end of worship in the building which has been a part of the neighbourhood since 1892.

Lozells Hosts Youth With a Mission
Over the course of the Commonwealth Games (28 July - 8 Aug 2022) Lozells Methodist Church hosted a team of 40 young adults from around the world and the UK as part of a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) summer project.

Villa Road Methodist Church Final Celebration
Over 150 people packed the church at the final service of celebration and thanksgiving for the 122 years of worship and mission at Villa Road Methodist Church since its opening on 19th July 1900. At the opening celebrations the preaching and worship continued throughout the day.
