There are several regular events which happen in our circuit. These are listed below.
- Heretics Anonymous - This circuit bible study group, run by Superintendent Minister Tony Malcolm, occurs at The Church at Carrs Lane on the third Monday of each month from 7:30 - 9:15pm. All are welcome.
- Northfield Methodist Church's English Conversation Cafe - If you or someone you know needs to practice their English, why not head to this cafe which happens each Tuesday morning from 9:30-11:30am during term-time.
- Solihull Methodist Church's Lunchtime Recitals - A great way to spend a lunchtime. Why not head along on the first Thursday of each month from 1-1:30pm and take your sandwiches.
Thursday Cafe every 1st and 3rd thursday at Solihull Methodist Church. - A place to gather with friends and make new friends. All are welcome to Drop-in between 2pm and 4pm to share coffee and cakes.

FREE Creative Arts workshops at Lozells Methodist Centre from Thurs 27th July at 11am-2pm with subsequest dates in Aug, Sept & Oct 2017 (see flier for all dates).
Take part in a range of Creative Arts Activities designed to raise confidence, self-esteem, self-belief
self-worth and self-respect.

Starfire are a youth choir from Los Alamos UMC in California. They will be presenting Borderless, an original musical based on Robert Schnase's Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations.
The performance will be on Friday 28th July 2017 at 7:30pm and tickets will be £5 for adults and free for under 16s. The proceeds will go to support the 2nd mile appeal for the Xenu people of Colombia and Central Hall's appeal to renovate a ward at Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo.
Small Footsteps is a free, week long interactive set of indoor and outdoor workshops for young people (11-14 years old) exploring the different themes of environment and the shared values of all faiths.
This will take place at Fircroft College, Bristol Road - Selly Oak, Birmingham. Monday 31/07/2017 - Saturday 05/08/2017, 8:30 am - 3:45 pm.

Effective Student Work Training 2017
A two-day training course for church leaders, student workers, chaplaincy assistants and volunteers will run on 6th and 7th September at Fircroft College in Birmingham, and aims to equip you with the necessary skills and resources to enable you to be effective in Christian student work and outreach to students.
This course is suitable for those new to their post and those looking to acquire new skills and knowledge and will cover the context of Christian student work, student engagement basics, how to lead workshops, facilitating bible study, social media and marketing, and interfaith work.

Solihull Methodist Church is celebrating the 80th anniversary of it church building in Blossomfield Road and is celebrating the anniversary by showing 24 paintings in an exhibition called Come & See from 7th - 30th September. Please see attached flier.
They will be displayed in 2 venues:
Solihull Methodist Church, and
The Courtyard Gallery, Solihull Library.
Alongside the art exhibition there will be a number of other events including a Flower Festival (12 – 16 September, organised by friends of Solihull Flower Club), weekly musical recitals, a concert of light classical organ music by Nigel Ogden (9th September) and a choral concert with musical pieces linked to the paintings (Come, See and Hear on 30th September).
Citizens UK training is for people from civic institutions who want to increase their capacity to make change at the local and national level.
Our training is a combination of theory, practical tools, stories and real action. Our training covers eight modules: Power, Self-Interest, Negotiation, Building Relationships, Leadership, Developing Institutions, Culture, and The Case for Broad-Based Organising.
Our professional training team are all experienced Community Organisers who are working practitioners using broad based community organising to develop leaders, build power and make change at a local, regional and national level. The trainers will illustrate the universal community organising tools by share exciting and distinctive stories about strengthening institutions through campaigns and action from Citizens UK's 25 year track record.
We hope trainees will come with a commitment to the common good and an appreciation of the role of civil society to make change across the country. Trainees will leave with an enriched sense of purpose, a diverse range of new powerful relationships and a practical set of tools to strengthen their institutions and make meaningful change in their communities
This training will take place on Sunday 17th September at 2.00pm through to Friday 22nd September 2017. Location Newcastle.
