Church Without Walls is a Birmingham District initiative to encourage churches to engage with their local communities. Read on to find out what St Andrew's Methodist Church have been up to in their community.

Stirchley in Bloom

On 6th May St Andrews Methodist Church in Stirchley combined Church without Walls with Stirchley in Bloom. The aim was increase awareness of God's presence in the area through the people at St Andrew's. It was a lovely sunny day and tables and chairs were set up in the church grounds serving refreshments. Outside the church troughs and baskets were busily being planted as our contribution to Stirchley in Bloom.

Although the number of people attending on the day could have been greater we were pleased with the opportunities for connecting with local people that the planting created. This was both on social media and individual conversations following the event.

Thanks to St Andrew's Methodist Church for sending in this story from their church.
