Exciting News from Lyndon

Trevor Gay came to Lyndon Methodist Church in support of Annie who had been a long standing member. It is at Lyndon that Trevor and Annie began their Christian journey in earnest. Trevor had a great thirst for learning and through Annie’s support began to study God’s word, joining the Alpha Course hosted by Libby & Richard Stretton and led by Chris & Shirley Taylor. They helped to lead worship through thought provoking and sometimes hilarious play acting to drive home Gods message – Annie being an amateur dramatist, an artist with great skill. Moving away from Lyndon was a hard decision for Trevor and Annie to make, but proved to be the end of the beginning of his journey of faith, finding a new spiritual home at the Coventry Methodist Church Central Hall where they immersed themselves into the life and soul of Methodism. Here is where Trevor became a steward and studied to become a local preacher and has been welcomed back at Lyndon on a number of occasions as a visiting preacher telling his story in his enthralling style. Now we can celebrate his story, the journey to God as we hear of his new appointment within the Coventry and Nuneaton circuit as a Lay Pastor. It is truly amazing how rich our churches are that we inspire those within our midst to follow in God’s footstep and to do his amazing work.
