Volunteers Needed

The Fair Trade Shop in the foyer of The Church at Carrs Lane sells many beautiful products, as well as many practical items for every day life. The shop is part of Traidcraft and sells their products to the many people who pass through The Church at Carrs Lane, or indeed who come in especially to browse products. The shop is now THE ONLY dedicated Fair Trade shop in Birmingham City Centre. The shop is run by volunteers from the congregation AND by interested people from around the city. In fact there are just as many volunteers from outside of the church as come from within it. Anyone is welcome to volunteer, not matter what their beliefs, they are looking for people who are passionate about fair trade and the positive difference that Traidcraft is making to the lives of people in developing countries.

The shop is staffed by volunteers and is open from 10:30 until 2:30 from Wednesday to Saturday. They are currently short of volunteers and looking for people to join the team, to welcome people, talk about the items on sale, and to manage the ordering and selling of items. No prior experience is necessary, training is provided.
