3Generate Reflection

Published on:

After missing 3Generate last year, our children and young people were more than ready for it this year. From the moment we entered the NEC the air was filled with laughter, chatter and anticipation.

There was so much for everyone to do and be a part of and to say that our young people got involved is an understatement. Some of the stations were challenging but, our children and young people engaged and asked the questions that we as adults shy away from. They worshipped in ways that, to some, was different to what they are used to, they made new connections and reconnected with their peers from different districts.

Some have said, “I have really felt Jesus with me this weekend”, “I realise how fortunate I am to have a safe warm place to live”, “I want to do more for our environment”. “I want to spend more time reading my bible” The theme this year was “In Tune”; being in tune with God, hearing God’s voice.

God spoke to many of our children and young people over the weekend. That part of this conversation concluded with them making their own covenant to God. Their conversation continues. They are amazing children and young people.
