Circuit Steward - Voluntary

Circuit Assembly 2 copy

Birmingham Circuit is one of the largest circuits in the country with 37 churches and over 3,000 members. The circuit plays a significant role in supporting all of these people and congregations with their mission and ministry, an important part is the stationing and supporting of Ministers. Working alongside the Superintendents and other Circuit Officers the Circuit Stewards are at the forefront of this work and as of this summer we're in big need for a few more.

The role of Circuit Steward in the Birmingham Circuit differs in the way it is carried out from a traditional Circuit Steward.  Other Circuit Officers carry out some of the work but we need a core group of Circuit Stewards to be involved in the Circuit Executive, keep an overview of the staffing needs of the Circuit including the invitation and stationing of ministers, link into the Churches and their ministers and if time permits be involved in the Circuit Forums.  If you are interested in a position as Circuit Steward we recommend talking to one of our existing stewards, if you're not sure who to contact look in the Circuit Directory or contact the circuit office who will be help on 0121 616 1800, or email contact@birminghammethodistcircuit.org.uk
