Prayer Event

Start: 16th June 2022 10:00 am End: 16th June 2022 4:00 pm

Is prayer a life-giving way you connect with the God who is love? Or does it sometimes feel like an impossible task full of contradictions?

Join others from across the Methodist connexion as we embrace our experiences of prayer, feel liberated and be reassured that there is good news in the mystery. We're also delighted to welcome Brian Heasley from 24-7 prayer to join us.

This event is organised by Abi Jarvis and Andy Fishburne, Discipleship and Faith Formation Officers in the Evangelism & Growth team and Rosie Bryant from the Learning Network, in partnership with local churches. The day will include teaching, discussion, reflection, quiet, and time to pray together. It's free, and includes lunch and refreshments.

This event is intended for anyone who might be involved in encouraging prayer in a church - church and circuit stewards, presbyters, deacons, superintendents, youth workers, and more. You are encouraged to come with someone else from your church or circuit, e.g. a Presbyter and Church Steward, or Circuit Steward and Superintendent, so that you can continue the conversations after the day has ended.

If your travel expenses are not being covered elsewhere, and finances are a barrier to your attending,  please contact Abi Jarvis (jarvisa@methodistchurch.org.uk )regarding support with your  travel costs....

Please book through Eventbrite so we know numbers for lunch and refreshments at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/reimagining-prayer-tickets-321255272167
