Data Protection Training

We will be providing training on data protection for those who are part of our circuit in the form of five identical training sessions during the summer of 2018. This will include covering the basics of data protection and how to keep people's data safe, as well as advice on working within the new GDPR legislation which has just come into force.

Training Dates
The dates for these training sessions in the summer of 2018 are:
- Training Session A - Tuesday 17th July - 2pm - 4pm at Selly Oak Methodist Church
- Training Session B - Monday 23rd July - 10am - 12noon at Lozells Methodist Church
- Training Session C - Saturday 4th August - 10am - 12noon at The Church at Carrs Lane
- Training Session D - Thursday 9th August - 7-9pm at Solihull Methodist Church
- Training Session E - Tuesday 14th August - 7-9pm at Acocks Green Methodist Church
Please note that you only need to attend one of these sessions.
Training of Ministers, Lay Staff and Circuit Officers
It is compulsory for Ministers, Lay Staff and Officers of the circuit to attend one of these training dates. Those for whom this is the case will be contacted.
Training and Support for Churches
The above training dates are also for people from our thirty seven churches and is our offering to support the trustees of each church in becoming compliant with current legislation including GDPR. Please get in touch using the details below if you are a church who would like to send people to the training.
